For these 7 South African Male Influencers, fashion is no joke. Each of them has found a way to express their personal style that keeps them standing out and in our style cravings list.
Siyabonga Beyile, founder of thethreadedman.com is a style fave because he makes ‘classy’ look simple and effortless. Whether he’s rocking a tailored suit or a leather jacket on ripped jeans, Siyabonga always looks elegantly put-together. His style makes me feel like it might not be so bad wearing out a tailored suit every other day.
South African blogger, photographer and filmmaker Trevor Stuurman is street style goals as far as I’m concerned. His affinity for hats and sunglasses is what draws me to his pictures more than half the time. The rest of the time, is how beautifully he incorporates prints into his outfits.
Every time Yasser Ismail gets suited up, my spirit screams “YAAAASSSS!!!!”. Truth be told, I wouldn’t expect a car enthusiast to looks anything less than deliciously dapper; especially when that enthusiast loves BMWs. Yasser’s style is as sleek as the cars he’s crazy about.
Bakks’ style is what I would describe as structured. His style is mostly traditional and I deeply appreciate how he sticks to outfits cut for his body – casual or dressed up. I also love how he uses his personal style to show you don’t always need a tailored suit to look pull off a structured look.
When it comes to style, Lee Fraser is not afraid of pushing boundaries. A lot of his outfits may be considered “out there” and over the top, but they are also very wearable. His style is indie, bohemian and edgy, so you won’t be seeing any tailored suits here. Not that I mind so much.
Keletso Rakumakoe is a personal style inspiration simply because of how he puts together simple elements to pull off a look. His preppy hipster style is often accomplished with wardrobe staples like jeans or pants, a great blazer, polished shoes, and and eye-catching accessory.
I’ve always believed personal style should be comfortable above all else. TeeKay Mahapa makes casual, comfortable dressing look amazing. It also helps that he looks great when he suits up as well. TeeKay definitely uses his style to show the fun side of being a law student.
