Know Your Brand: Cookie Skin

As a lover of all things beauty I pride myself in being able to test at least one item of a brand that seems to be trending in the beauty social space. Cookie skin is one of those popular brands I have tested. I tried their dermal repair complexion day lotion in SPF 30+ and I was really impressed. The protective shield really worked wonders on my skin to block damage from the sun and the feel is pretty light weight and hydrating. I’d recommend the complexion day lotion product if you’re looking for a good sun-screen. It works wonders on the skin and maintains the evenness of your skin tone.

So what is it about this African brand Cookie skin?

Cookie skin is a preventive and corrective skin care line made with superior active ingredients that nourishes the skin for an irresistible fresher, younger, radiant looking skin. The brand is owned by Leslie Okoye a vibrant entrepreneur from the country Nigeria.  She founded cookie skin on the premise of nurturing healthy beautiful skin.

In an interview with Nigerian women’s she states that “good skin is not a bleached skin, the health of the skin is the fact there are no spots or blemishes, it’s the fact that you don’t have excess dull dead skin, that’s what makes it beautiful”.

Cookie skin has a range of skincare products with natural ingredients such as milk and fruit acids, kojic and licorice root extracts, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, B3 and more.

It has wide availability within the Nigerian shores as it is stocked at stores in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Enugu. The brand is also available in Ghana for all residents there. However they do ship their products internationally. So for those of you who aren’t based in Nigeria or Ghana you can still shop the products and have them delivered to you in your home country.

Most popular amongst users

With the many reviews I got to see online. I’d say the feedback on their SPF based products such as the complexion shield sunscreen in SPF30+/50 and the Cookie skin brightening body lotion in SPF 20 seemed to be a favourite amongst users.

People stated that it didn’t leave white marks it was pretty translucent and that it did the job of preventing sun damage tremendously. This product gets thumbs up from our team and an A-okay.

If you’re a cookie skin lover and have tried some of their products. Feel free to share your review on the comment section down below. Thank you…
